Welcome

Javier is famous as the birthplace of Saint Francisco Xabier, patron saint of Navarra. He was later the co-founder of the Society of Jesus (Jesuits) and one of the most universal missionaries. Every year in early March the castle is the destination of thousands of people from all over Navarre in the popular pilgrimage known as the Javierada.
